Blizzard in Sweden halts travel; more snow in the forecast

Traffic at Sweden’s main airport came to a near stand-still today, delaying the anticipated arrival of some of this year’s Nobel Prize laureates, as a blizzard hit parts of the country.

NBC News reports forecasters have issued a class 2 storm warning for central and southern Sweden, saying that Stockholm may get another 12 inches of snow in the next 24 hours.

BBC: Two Swedish women might be able to give birth using the wombs in which they were carried, doctors say, due to the world’s first mother-to-daughter uterus transplants.
The procedures were completed by more than 10 surgeons at Sweden’s University of Gothenburg, and doctors say they won’t consider the operations successful unless the women become pregnant.
