Swaziland police: Women risk arrest if they wear miniskirts
BBC: A police spokeswoman says women in Swaziland risk arrest if they wear miniskirts or tops that expose part of their stomach. The spokeswoman says police will enforce an 1889 law banning “immoral” dressing if they receive a complaint.
She also says women in the kingdom make it easier for rapists by wearing miniskirts.
The law does not apply to traditional costumes worn by women during ceremonies like one where the monarch may choose a new wife.
