Aung San Suu Kyi traveling to US
BBC:Myanmar’s pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi is traveling to the US on her 1st trip to the country in 2 decades. She will be presented with the Congressional Medal of Honor, among other awards.
Aung San Suu Kyi spent years under house arrest in Myanmar, but was elected to parliament in April. The civilian-led, but military-backed government has put a series of political and social reforms in place.

BBC:Myanmar’s pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi is traveling to the US on her 1st trip to the country in 2 decades. She will be presented with the Congressional Medal of Honor, among other awards.

Coke makes 1st shipment to Myanmar in 60 years

Reuters: Coca-Cola Co says it has shipped drinks to customers in Myanmar, marking the company’s first delivery to the country in more than 60 years. This follows the lifting of US sanctions against the country, formerly known as Burma.

Coke says it is working toward establishing a bottling entity in the country with local company Pinya; it plans to start local production as soon as possible.
