Gov. Chris Gregoire has signed into law a bill that legalizes gay marriage in Washington state, making it the nation’s seventh to allow gay and lesbian couples to wed.
CNN reports that the chair of the Colorado GOP says that Rick Santorum will win the Colorado Republican caucuses.
Santorum is also projected to win tonight’s Minnesota GOP caucuses and Missouri primary.

U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rules that California’s Proposition 8 is unconstitutional
A three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has issued its long-awaited opinion on whether Proposition 8 violates the civil rights of gay men and lesbians.
Proposition 8 was a 2008 California ballot measure that banned same-sex marriage. In August 2010, a federal judge struck down the ban, which was left in place during the appeals process.
