Norwegian museum to return Matisse looted by Nazis
The Henie Onstad Arts Center in Oslo has agreed to return a portrait by Matisse that was stolen from a Jewish art dealer in Paris by the Nazis in September 1941.
Records uncovered by descendants of the art dealer, Paul Roseberg, show the 1937 work, ”Woman in Blue in Front of a Fireplace,” was one of 162 works seized from him.
