Gay marriage bill passes Illinois House
NBC News: The Illinois House of Representatives passed legislation Tuesday that would allow same-sex couples to marry in the state.
The legislation now returns to the Senate for another vote, after the House added an amendment making June 1 the date the legislation would go into effect.
The Senate is expected to approve the bill again with the added amendment, its president, John Cullerton says.

This is great to hear. I hope one day I can see my uncles get married (if they choose to that is).
