Netflix tops HBO with nearly 30 million US subscribers

Netflix is now officially bigger than HBO, reporting 29.93 million subscribers in the U.S., which is more than HBO’s last count of 28.7 million, Engadget reports.

Netflix’s third-quarter earnings topped analyst expectations, with earnings per share of $0.52 on revenue of $1.11 billion.
