AP:President Barack Obama has cancelled a planned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin next month over tensions concerning NSA leaker Edward Snowden and Russia’s continued stubborn stance on issues including missile defense and human rights.
Obama will still attend the Group of 20 summit in Russia, but will no longer have one-on-one talks with Putin. White House officials say Russia’s decision last week to grant temporary asylum to Snowden just put strain on an already fraught relationship.
