Plane missing in Antarctica with 3 on board
NBC News: A plane with three people on board is missing in the Antarctic. The plane’s emergency locator beacon has been activated, but poor conditions have prevented rescue crews from reaching the area where they believe the downed plane is.
Contact was lost with the plane as it was flying over a remote part of the Transantarctic Mountains. The plane, missing since Monday, is carrying a group of Canadian men working as contractors for the Italian Antarctic program.
