2 firefighters shot and killed in New York state
Update, 12:25 pm ET - The gunman who ambushed the volunteer firefighters is dead, authorities say. More from AP.
News 10 NBC: Four firefighters were shot — two of them were killed — after responding to a fire in Webster, New York, early Monday. The other two firefighters are at the hospital being treated for their injuries.
Emergency crews were initially called to the area around 6 a.m. to respond reports of a structure fire. As the firefighters arrived, there was gunfire. Authorities say there is no active search for a shooter right now. Neighbors have been evacuated.
