Napoleon’s Kremlin letter sells for 150,000 euros

BBC: A letter written by Napoleon Bonaparte, in which he vows to blow up the Kremlin, has sold at auction for 150,000 euros.

The letter, written in code and sold with a deciphered transcript, was bought by the Museum of Letters and Manuscripts in Paris. Before the auction took place, the director of the auction house said the 1812 letter was expected to fetch between 10,000 and 15,000 euros.
