Massachusetts gas explosion injures 18
WWLP: A gas explosion destroyed two buildings in Springfield, Mass., and left three others beyond repair Friday evening.
At least 18 people were injured in the explosion, including nine local firefighters and one police officer. There were no fatalities reported in the incident.
The explosion occurred around 5 p.m., after a gas leak was reported less than hour earlier. People standing nearby were knocked off their feet when the explosion occurred.
