Sandy makes landfall
NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center: Forecasters report that Sandy made landfall near Atlantic City, New Jersey, at 8 p.m. ET. The storm is now a post-tropical cyclone, but continues to plow the US East Coast with hurricane-force winds.
