Des Moines Register endorses Romney; New York Times favors Obama

The Register’s endorsement of Romney marked the first time it has sided with a Republican presidential candidate since 1972.

The paper’s editorial board wrote: “Voters should give Mitt Romney a chance to correct the nation’s fiscal course and to implode the partisan gridlock that has shackled Washington and the rest of America.”
