Malala Yousafzai, 14-year-old Pakistani girl shot by Taliban, now in UK
BBC: Malala Yousafzai, the 14-year-old Pakistani girl who was shot in the head by Taliban gunmen, has arrived in the UK for medical treatment. Yousafzai was flown from Pakistan on board an air ambulance provided by the UAE and accompanied by a full medical team.
A bullet that hit Yousafzai’s skull was removed by surgeons in northwest Pakistan last week, but she was later transferred to a military hospital for more specialized treatment. A panel of doctors recommended she be moved to a UK center.
