Chimney Rock in Colorado made national monument
NBC News: The Obama administration, joined by Republicans, announced on Friday the creation of the Chimney Rock National Monument.
As a national monument, 4,726 acres of desert land near Chimney Rock will be protected. The area is sacred and spiritually significant for the Pueblo Indians and other tribes who made the monument their home 1,000 years ago.
