Multiple people reported shot near the Empire State Building in New York City [Updated]

BREAKING: Multiple people have been reported shot near the Empire State Building in New York. The suspect was shot and killed by police, officials say.

Update (12:18 pm ET):New York City officials say two people were killed in the shooting, including the suspect. Nine others were injured. NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly says the suspected gunman was fired from a nearby business about a year ago due to downsizing.
