NASA’s Curiosity rover sends back color photos 

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory: The first images from Curiosity’s color Mast Camera were received by scientists in Pasadena, Calif. The thumbnails provide scientists and engineers of the Mars rover their first color, horizon-to-horizon glimpse of Gale Crater.
