US Supreme Court allows execution of inmate who contends low IQ should spare his life
AP:The U.S. Supreme Court will allow tonight’s execution of a Texas death row inmate whose lawyers say is ineligible for the death penalty due to his low IQ.
Marvin Wilson, 54, was sentenced to death for killing a police informant in 1992. His attorneys say his IQ is 61, below the threshold of 70, which would suggest he’s mentally impaired.
