Support for same-sex marriage to be in Democratic Party platform
The Advocate: Congressman Barney Frank said Monday that the Democratic Party will affirm its support for same-sex marriage in its platform that is currently being drafted.
The openly gay congressman sits on the 15-member platform drafting committee. The platform-writing process will culminate at September’s Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.
