Afternoon student rally in Montreal attracts thousands
CTV News: A rally in Montreal drew thousands of people who protested tuition hikes after negotiations with the Quebec government broke down.
“The ongoing dispute has consumed Quebec for nearly four months and pitted the increasingly radical students against Premier Jean Charest’s ruling Liberal government. It has also prompted lawmakers to create Bill 78, a so-called emergency law meant to quash protests.”
